NORMAN T. OZAKI, Ph.D., C.I.H.
CREDENTIALS
MPH, Epidemiology
University of California, Berkeley, 2000
National Institute of Health (NIH) Postdoctoral Research, Cancer Epidemiology
University of California, Berkeley, 1982
Ph.D., Health Policy Analysis and Modeling
University of California, San Francisco, 1979
B.A., History/Zoology
University of California, Los Angeles, 1968
EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Dr. Ozaki has been active in environmental consulting for the past twenty years. He is a public health specialist engaged in health risk assessment work for hazardous waste sites. He developed and managed Levine!Fricke's Risk Group and is currently the Director of the Public Health Risk Assessment Services at (SOMA). His experience includes providing both technical and management support for EPA Superfund endangerment assessments and baseline risk assessments in Region IX, as well as for State Superfund baseline risk assessments in California, and other states. He has prepared site-specific quantitative multimedia risk assessments as part of the RI/FS process for various sites on EPA's National Priorities List (NPL). As part of these evaluations, Dr. Ozaki has performed data evaluations in order to identify chemicals of concern, developed toxicological profiles, performed exposure assessments and quantified the risks associated with the site. Dr. Ozaki has also provided technical support to the EPA in Region X on a multimedia exposure assessment model to verify soil remediation at Federal-lead hazardous waste sites. His work included the preparation of algorithms required to quantify risk at various stages of remediation...
